You Are My Happy

Hello, friends!  It's a rare occasion when I can get both of my boys to pose for a photo.  I took this photo recently on a family trip.  It amazes me how fast they have grown.  I wanted to create a beautiful layout featuring my guys that I could frame and hang in my home office to see everyday. Who says a masculine layout can't include bling and butterflies?

I chose patterned papers in brown, blue, and green for an outdoor, masculine feel.  The Want2Scrap Chipboard Alphabet-Stylish are one of my favorite products.  I love the font.  I shaded them with teal and brown ink for a wonderful accent.  I added K&H for my boys initials.

The newsprint patterned paper is Classified by The Dove's Nest.  I inked, tore, and curled the paper for dimension.
I wanted dimension and texture to ground my photo.  The Want2Scrap 6x6" Chipboard Backing was perfect for my 4x6" photo.

My favorite accents on this layout are the Want2Scrap Wonderful Wings Bling butterflies.  I placed them on patterned paper, cut them out, and adhered them to the layout with dimensional adhesive.  The trailing bling following the butterflies was created with Want2Scrap BYOB--Build Your Own Bling.

Sweet Sophie

Hello, friends!  I had so much fun designing a layout with my favorite Ruby Rock-it collections, Nostalgia, featuring my sweet great niece, Sophie.

I love the beautiful colors and patterns in this collection. The combination of bright colors and vintage patterns is perfect.  Ruby Rock-it dimensional embellishments include felt, twine, and glittered letters.  SO sweet!

I love the diecuts found in each Ruby Rock-it collection. I layer and mount them with dimensional adhesive to create fun accent pieces.
What can you create with the Nostalgia collection?

Good Friends

Hi, there!  Keely here to share my latest Ruby Rock-it project.  I just knew that the beautiful colors and patterns of the "Nostalgia" collection would be perfect about a layout about my son and his best buddy, Trooper.

So many wonderful papers, stickers, and diecuts in this collection!  I created this layout with lots of odds and ends left from my other projects.  I love the results--bright, loud, and bit chaotic...just like my teen son :)  The Bella! Ruby Rock-it glittered cardstock was such a fun item to include.  I also adore the print patterned paper and spool top paper...so interesting!

The variety of sticker letters and labels adds to the charm of this collection. I cut, distressed, inked, and layered remnants of my "Nostalgia" collection to create a layout I am thrilled with.  Do you save bits and pieces of your favorite collections to create projects?  You just never know what you can create with odds, ends, and imagination.

Have a wonderfully creative weekend!

Sweet Love with Want2Scrap

Hello, friends!  Today, I've had the pleasure of designing with some of my favorite Want2Scrap products by Donna Salazar Designs.  I love the texture of the ATC in Canvas.  I used the canvas as a base for my chipboard accents.  The Designer Embellies Mixed Media Elements includes the Bird, Wings, Crown, Tag, and Leaves. I love how the chipboard accents accepted the rich ink colors I chose.

Next, I chose to cut the Nestaboard Labels 25 in half to use above and below my photos.  I covered it with patterned paper by The Dove's Nest, inked the edges, and added Nestabling Labels 25 Silver Rhinestones.

Lastly, I added "Love" from the Want2Scrap Chipboard Sentiments--Words of Love to complete my title.
Have a wonderfully creative week!

My Little Shoebox Sketch Challenge!!!

I'm so excited that today is National Scrapbook Day, but for this Kentucky girl...it's a day I look forward to all year....the Kentucky Derby.  I love it all...the horses, the hats, and the celebration.  So historic and so beautiful.  I'll be celebrating all day and watching the big race at 5pm.

I loved creating this fun layout about "The Run for the Roses".  Those gorgeous pics are from the official KY Derby website.  I used the new My Little Shoebox collection, "Happy Go Lucky".  What a perfect name for a collection to use on a KY Derby layout.  The beautiful bling accents are by Want2Scrap.  Be sure to visit Want2Scrap today.  They are having a .99 bling sale all day!!!

My Little Shoebox is having a fabulous sketch challenge in honor of National Scrapbook Day.  Just look at this beautiful sketch by Liz Chidester.

We challenge you to get crafty for National Scrapbooking Day and create a layout based on Liz's sketch! Post it to the My Little Shoebox Facebook wall by Monday May 7th at midnight Pacific time.

We'll randomly choose one lucky scrapper to win a MLS prize package and announce the winner Tuesday here on the blog!  I'd love to see what you create!

Keely (you are here)

I had so much fun creating this sweet banner with the Ruby Rock-It "Paper Doll" collection.  The texture of RR collections is amazing...beautiful patterned paper, chipboard diecuts, and felt shapes.  I cut the circular banner shapes with my Cricut.

The coordinating border strips are one of my favorite embellishments.  They can be trimmed to any length and work perfectly with cards, layouts, and altered projects.

What are you creating for NSD?  Your next stop on the hop is Jodi's blog.  I know she has creating something amazing!

Have a wonderful weekend!
