My Guys

I'm SO ready for the weekend. I need some creative time in my studio. I did manage to sneak in a little time this week to play with my September kit from Noel Mignon.com. So much great stuff from Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon, and Basic Grey. I created this layout about my 4 guys. I love these pics we took at the park last week. Aren't these little boys images the cutest? I cut them from the October Afternoon patterned paper and colored them with my Copic markers.
Be sure to join us at ScrapTiffany for our weekly challenges. This week's challenge: creating multi-photo layouts. Come check out all of the fabulous DT creations.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Hey there, Fancy Pants!

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week. I'm making a slow recovery from my tonsillectomy last week. URG! We won't even talk about that. I've been feeling better this week and spent time in my studio creating with my new collections from Fancy Pants Designs, "Lilac House" and "Little Sprout".

"Happy Sweet Kenzie"
Fancy Pants "Lilac House" collection

"Baby Mine" Mini-Album
Fancy Pants "Little Sprout" collection

"So Happy Together"
Fancy Pants "Lilac House" collection

"In Love"
Fancy Pants "Lilac House" collection

Aren't these paper collections gorgeous? I love the versatility of the "Lilac House" collection. I am always drawn to vintage, romantic papers. I love the soft colors and patterns. They are truly great for any occasion. What have you been creating? I'd love to take a peek.
The winner of last week's random draw for a vintage paper/embellie collection is....

Lesa!!!

Congratulations, Lesa! Please email me your addy and I will get your goodies sent out.

Have a great day!

Fiskateer's Orange Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Fiskateer's Orange Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be participating with all of these amazing crafters for today's hop. If you have come here from Lisa Falduto's blog, then you are in the right place :) If this is your first stop on the hop, please start at the Fiskateer's Blog. I don't want you to miss anything along the way.

For my project, I want to share a fun and creative way to dress up those old paper lunch sacks. I think any gift presented in a sweet and thoughtful package makes it better to give and receive. These treat bags can be created in just minutes and use supplies you already have on hand.
I like to use a pretty stamped image, an old postcard, or even a photo as the centerpiece. I chose a beautiful mermaid stamp by Queen Kat Designs and colored her with my Copic markers. I chose 2 coordinating patterned papers for the background and added tiny sticker letters for the sentiment. I love all of the orange I used when coloring the mermaid. I thought the turquoise ribbon accented the colors nicely. I added a pretty Prima flower to the side of the mermaid.
I used my favorite Fiskar's border punch, Threading Water, to create the decorative edge for the bag. I also used my favorite Fiskar's micro-tip scissors for detailed cutting, and Fiskar's 1/4" Circle Hand Punch to thread the ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Your next stop on the hop is:

Laura Bray 1150 http://www.katydiddys.blogspot.com

For a chance at today's random drawing, leave a comment telling me what is your favorite Fiskar's product. I'll draw on Monday morning for a wonderful bag of vintage goodies!

Have a wonderful day!

Those Last Summer Days...

Labor Day weekend was just beautiful. We took the kids to a local park and took some great photos capturing the end of Summer. I can't believe how fast the kids are growing! Thankfully, they allow me to take lots of pics...most of the time :)

I received great news! I've been chosen as the Featured Member for September at Your Scrapbook Stash! Hop on over and check out their store, gallery, and blog. They have fabulous tutorials, challenges, and an amazingly talented design team. The current 2 contests runs until September 15. See all of the details HERE. One contest is to create a Christmas card. I had lots of fun playing with these patterned papers and diecuts from My Minds Eye.

The second contest is to create a Summer themed mini-album and/or layout. I love this collection by My Little Shoebox called, "Away We Go".

This layout of my sweet puppy, Trooper, was created for the latest sketch challenge at YSS.

Have a wonderful week! Join me again this Friday for the Fiskar's Orange Blog Hop. Lots of great projects from lots of uber-talented crafters.
