Artistic License Spotlight

Hi, all. I wanted to share that I am the spotlight guest designer over at Artistic License. The blog is authored by a wonderfully talented friend, Vicki Canning. Please hop over and leave her a comment.

Hope all is well with each of you. I'm hoping to jump back into my creative studio later this week. I have so many new goodies from American Crafts, October Afternoon, and My Little Shoebox.

I just ordered the latest kit, "Sweet Sue", from Noel Mignon. You MUST go check out this kit HERE. I can not wait to get my fingers on all of these goodies! That got me to thinking...How many of you belong to kit clubs? Which one's are your favorites? I would love to check them out.

Have a wonderful week!

We have a wonderful inspiration photo challenge for you today.

I just love the colors in this photo. I chose to use slightly different shades of orange, yellow, and pink for my card. I created the card above with one of the beautiful mermaid stamps from Queen Kat Designs, Monarch Mia. I colored the stamped image with Copic markers. You can find all of our fabulous stamps at the QKD store.

I'd love to see what you can create. Leave me a link to your creation.

I just couldn't wait to create with my these stamps. The sweet little girl digi stamp is by Maurie Manning. I colored her with Copic Markers. I also used sentiment stamps by Hero Arts, a butterfly stamp by Hero Arts, and a mesh stamp by Stampabilities. I also used patterned paper by My Little Shoebox, GCD Studios, Echo Park. Stickers are by Echo Park. Our theme for the hop: create a stamped project with a hidden object. My hidden object is the little bookmark tucked inside the pocket.

Thanks so much for stopping by for the hop. Have a wonderful day and create something beautiful today.

Enjoying Summer

I hope you are enjoying what remains of Summer. Even though the weather is still beautiful, it feels like Summer is coming to a close. The kids start back to school tomorrow :( Way too soon for me. I remember how much I loved Summer break as a kid. My boys will be entering 6th and 7th grade this year. I can't believe how much they have grown.

I created this sweet wallhanging with Kiki Art patterned paper and chipboard. I loved incorporating this adorable vintage photo I found in Texas. You can read all of the details of my project HERE on the Kiki Art Blog.

We have some great Summer challenges going on this week. Join us at ScrapTiffany for a very COOL sketch challenge and a naked chipboard challenge. This layout was inspired by the sketch. I used goodies by Little Yellow Bicycle, Jillibean Soup, K&Co., and Echo Park.

We have a great color challenge over at The Whimsical Ink Sorority. Create your best, new card, layout, or altered stamped project using the color PURPLE. Easy peasy! See all of the details HERE.

Gifts for Baby...

Last weekend, Kevin and I went to a baby shower for our niece, Mandy. I wanted to share with you the baby card and album that I made. I just love how they turned out!

I purchased most of the goodies I used to create this album at The Crafty Scrapper on my trip to Waxahachie, Texas. It is the most fabulous scrapbook store! The chipboard album and baby data wording are by Scrap Fx. I used patterned paper by GCD Studios, Echo Park, and My Little Shoebox. The Bingo Cards are by Jenni Bowlin. Stickers are by Echo Park.
The decorative envelope is Maya Road.

I just love the digi stamp i used for the baby card! I've discovered stamps by Maurie Manning. Her site is called Mo's Digital Pencil Too. I want every single one of these adorable stamps. I colored this sweet baby girl stamp with Copic Markers. The stamped sentiment is Bo Bunny. Don't you just want to reach out and tickle her toes?

Have a wonderful day!
