I had such a fabulous weekend at the Paper Cowgirl Retreat. I'm trying to get all of my goodies unpacked. I'm overflowing with creative inspiration. The chicks at that retreat were SO talented. I have tons of pics to share...art that inspired me, people who inspired me, and things that just made me smile. I got to meet sweet Jessica, fellow designer at Scrap Tiffany. Love ya, girl!

Today's challenge is to create a card using the colors BLUE and BROWN.
I love that color combination! I used the Whimsical Ink Sorority June kit with this adorable Cupcake Mermaid stamp. I colored her using Copic markers. Just perfect to celebrate a birthday. You can find all of the QKD stamps here.

I'm Tickled Pink!!!

I just have to share my fabulous news! One of my altered projects has been chosen to grace the cover of the soon-to-be-released Summer 2010 issue of Altered Arts Magazine. See the announcement ">HERE.

"I Create Here" layout (Anna Griffin)

Only 7 days until I leave for the Paper Cowgirl Altered Art Retreat in Waxahachie, Texas! I'm so excited to meet these COOL gals and take some AMAZING classes. One of the swaps I'm signed up for is called, "A Cowgirl Needs a Horse". I want to share the link for the horse templates. There are 3 different horse patterns. You can download the basic templates, trace them onto cardboard or heavy paper, join the legs to the torso with buttons, brads or whatever, then embellish them however you like. I just love the pattern. I can imagine lots of horse in so many colors and patterns.

I created the layout above, "I Create Here", for this week's challenge at Scrap Tiffany. The challenge is to "Scrap Your Scrap Area". I love to see where all of you create. Hop on over to Scrap Tiffany and share your layout with us.

"Happy 11th Birthday, Jennah & Houston!"

We celebrated Jennah and Houston's 11th Birthday's this month. Houston (my son) and Jennah (my step-daughter) are only 11 days apart. We always have a birthday party for them both. This year we celebrated with a tower of cupcakes. Happy Birthday! We love you both!

I used the cardboard packaging from Prima Flowers as the background for my card. I love the scalloped edges and delicate floral design. I used "The Guardian" mermaid stamp for this week's card. Isn't she beautiful? Hop over to the QKD store to shop for all of our stamps.
