Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I hope you are relaxing and spending time with your family and loved ones this weekend. We are also celebrating my son, Houston's, 11th birthday. Most kids would request a chocolate cake or mounds of ice cream for their birthday dessert, but Houston asked for Banana's Foster. YUMMY! It was so good. We also enjoyed hambergers, hot dogs, potato salad, and fried corn. We love you, Houston!

"Being Me" layout (Nikki Sivils)

Don't you just love the "My Sweet Cherry Pie" collection from Nikki Sivils? I loved using bits and pieces of the entire collection in this layout, "Being Me".

"My Sister" layout (Basic Grey)
I created this layout for a contest at Blue Moon Scrapbooking using the new Sultry line from Basic Grey. I got to play with a few new shades of my Glimmer Mist, too. The fabulous journaling tags are by Elle's Studio.
"Sweet Memories" card (Queen Kat Designs)
Don't forget to visit Whimsical Ink Sorority this week. As always, I'm hosting Verona's Saturday Challenge. This week's challenge is inspired by a fabulous vintage item. Check out all of the details HERE. I created this card for the challenge with the beautiful "Verona" mermaid stamp. Check back tomorrow for the Monday blog hop.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A New Addition

"Our New Addition" Card

Spring brings so many new things. For our family, Spring brought a new puppy named Scout. He is just so adorable. Our pets are definitely like our children, so I created this "puppy announcement" to send to the grandparents. I included lots of details to make this card special. My post with all of the details is featured at Simply Renee Inc.

Supplies:
Patterned paper: Nikki Sivils "Bella Blue and Oscar, Too" collection
Cardstock: The Paper Company
Chipboard: Magistical Memories (tree), Basic Grey (dog)
Ink: Tsukineko Versafine black, Colorbox Catseye tan
Pen: Sakura (white), Zig (black)
Stickles: Ranger silver
Paint: Delta Crackle green
Decorative scissors: Fiskars
Vintage dictionary pages

"Material Girl" Layout

Join us at Scrap Tiffany for the Week #21 Challenge: Make a layout or card inspired by a Song Title. I thought long and hard about what song to feature. Kevin suggested "Material Girl". Is that a hint, honey? Anyway...I thought COOL. I can work with that. I created this layout about my love of stuff: vintage home decor, jewelry, and scrapbook goodies. Come on over to Scrap Tiffany and join in on this week's challenge.

"Congratulations, Grad" Layout

I created this layout with beautiful papers and embellies by Kiki Art to celebrate the graduation of my nephew, Anthony. He is counting the days until he is officially a high school graduate. I incorporated pieces from many Kiki Art collections: Antologie Amor, Hot Air Balloon, Antologia Magica, Antologia Familia, and Antologia China. I love how the collections can be mixed together to create something completely new. The bright colors and fun, youthful patterns are just perfect for a celebration. I can’t wait to use my scraps to create a card for Anthony.

Have a wonderful day!

Welcome to the Queen Kat Designs Monday blog hop. If this is your first stop, please start here. We don't want you to miss any of this week's creations. Today's challenge at Queen Kat Designs involves this inspiration piece...

Love the artwork! I was inspired by the colors: blue, yellow, and pink and the blue sky background. I incorporated these colors in my card featuring Suri, the beautiful Whimsical Ink Sorority May Kit mermaid. You can find her and tons of other gorgeous stamps at the QKD store. I also used patterned paper by Kiki Art, transparency paper by Hambly Studios, and markers by Copic.

The next stop on the hop is Erika's blog. I know she has created something fabulous. Please share your projects based on this week's challenge. I would love to come visit your site.

Have a great week!

Lollipop, Lollipop...

Today, I popped over to see what the Lollipop Girls at Candy Shoppe Designs have been busy creating. They have a very COOL challenge going on through May 31. Create a project featuring Lollipop Flowers. I LOVE Lollipop flowers! I've entered my Vintage Altered Cigar Box with Lollipop Flowers.
This month's sponsor is the Magpie Club. Here is what Tara has to say about her kits.

"Each month I will be busy stamping, punching, glueing, sewing and of course glittering tons of embellishments that will go into the kits. I will also be including lots of new products, I will pass on any bargains that I can get my hands on and I will be separating lots of packs so that I can include 'one or two' little things to make your pages unique." Isn't that delightful? She has a fabulous group of designers, too. Be sure to pop over and check out the kits and the blog.
And...here is the prize kit.

Remember, you have until May 31 to upload your project via Mr Linky. See ya there!

So Much to Choose From...

"Made with Love" Altered Frame (GCD Studios)

"Being with You" Layout (GCD Studios

"6" Layout (GCD Studios, Elle's Studio, Hambly Studio)

I am just loving all of the new scrapbook products arriving in stores. Kevin and I took a drive to Archiver's in Louisville a few weeks ago and I went a little shopaholic :) There was so much to choose from....new Jenni Bowlin, new 7Gypsies, new American Crafts, new GCD Studios... I could go on and on. He should know better than to leave me unattended in Archiver's. Needless to say, I brought lots of nice goodies home to play with.

Have you seen the new Real Sports collections by Reminisce? I love the coordinating stickers, diecuts, and papers. Too Cute...and available for so many sports. With 5 busy, athletic kids, we have plenty of sport photos...baseball, swimming, soccer, football, karate, wrestling, cheerleading. The sports shaped papers are so cool!

"Born 2 Swim" Mini Album (Reminisce)

"Batter Up" Layout (Reminisce)

"Baseball Fever" Layout (Reminisce)

Have you visiting Your Scrapbook Stash? It is a wonderful site featuring the latest products, fabulous designers, and tons of inspiration. I was so happy to find out today that I won their NSD layout contest. Pop on over to their gallery and say, "Hi!". My username is always Keelyyowler.

I'm slowly recovering from bronchitis, but I believe I have just enough strength to make it to my studio to scrapbook :) Have a wonderful day!

I chose to create this green monochromatic card with the beautiful new stamp, Soliel. She is definitely one of my favorites. I colored the image with Copic markers and embellished with a title sticker by American Crafts and an acrylic heart by Heidi Swapp. The decorative border punch is by Martha Stewart.

I would love to see what monochromatic creations you create, so please link me up. The next stop on the hop is Terri's blog. Also, don't forget to stop by the QKD store to check out all of the wonderful new rubber stamps. Have a fabulous Monday!

Before and After...and Our Winner

We have a great challenge this week at Scrap Tiffany. The Week #18 Challenge is to Re-Do an Old Layout. I don't make a habit of re-doing old layouts. I like to look back on my older projects and reflect on them. My style is much different now (less stickers and cut photos), but I can still appreciate my older projects. But....I had SO much fun re-doing this layout of Keegan. I'm so happy with the finished layout. It's filled with Sassafras Lass, Prima, and Elle's Studio...a few of my favs. Below is the old layout (see what I mean about the stickers :)

My tutorial to create these pretty paper carnations is posted here at Scrap Tiffany.

The winner of my Kiki Art Blog Hopscotch giveaway is:
