A touch of vintage...

I know I have casually :) mentioned that I love everything vintage. I have been creating with the most fabulous vintage inspired kit by Label Tulip--March 2009's Over the Rainbow. They recently had a great sale and, of course, I loaded up on their yummy past kits. These layouts were created with patterned papers by Sassafras Lass, American Crafts, My Mind's Eye, & Chatterbox; chipboard shapes by Chatterbox; Flowers by Prima; rub-ons by Basic Grey; Wild Saffron diecut tags; and floral trim by Making Memories.

The layout of my Sweet Daisy is for this week's challenge at Lotus Paperie. This challenge is inspired by a fabulous sketch. Come on over and enter your layout for a chance at this month's wonderful prizes.

Only 2 more days...

Only 2 more days until Halloween. I love everything about this holiday...the fun costumes, the yummy treats, and of course, all of the great crafts. I created this Halloween card for the monthly contest at Magistical Memories. I just adore their chipboard!

The kids had so much fun at the Halloween store looking for costumes and decorations. The boys always want to be something scary. This year, Jennah and I will be spending Halloween at the Miley Cyrus concert in Louisville. Friday night we are going on a haunted mansion tour in town. So much fun!

Check back tomorrow for this week's Lotus Paperie challenge. I will have a great sketch and layout to share.

Have a great Thursday!

Fun with Lutradur...

I was challenged to create 2 products for C&T Publishing using Lutradur. "What is Lutradur?" you ask. It is a material that reminds me of interfacing. It comes in different thickness. I used a black lightweight and a white ultra-lightweight. You can use it for many different crafts--quilting, papercrafting, mixed-media... I used a craft heat gun to melt holes in the material. It gave it a cool, lacey feel. I also cut it with a paper trimmer, sprayed it with walnut ink, sewed it with the sewing machine, and adhered it with Alene's craft glue. Very versatile. Visit C&T Publishing to learn more about the wonders of Lutradur: http://www.ctpub.com/productdetails.cfm?SKU=10624

Time for a change

Do you ever just feel like it is time for a change? Maybe, it is the change of seasons. I've been really busy with work lately. Feeling tired, feeling blah. So, I joined an exercise class. Today was my first class. It really kicked my butt...but, I loved it! I'm planning to go 3 days per week--maybe more :) Thanks, Leann!

I am just loving this COOL Fall weather. As soon as the calendar turns to October, my crafts turn to Halloween. I love creating spooky Halloween decorations with the great colors of orange, black, brown, and purple. I just finished this fun SPOOKY Halloween banner to hang from our mantle. I used some great Halloween products. I was fortunate enough to win these "Hallow's Eve" stamps by Lizzie Anne Designs. I also used "Eerie Alley" patterned papers by SEI, "Night Light" chipboard glitter shapes by My Minds Eye, and funky clipart by Matthew Meade Templates. My next project is to create some spooky Halloween cards with these supplies.

Enjoy this great weather and create something SPOOKY!
