Back to School Blues...

I do love Back to School time...the shopping, the excitement of a Fall approaching, and seeing the kids learn new and exciting things everyday, but...it also reminds me how fast they are growing up and I do get a twinge of sadness that my babies are no longer babies. This inspired me to pull out some pics of when the kids were smaller and remember fondly the days of snot and dribble. I challenge you to remember the good 'ol days by scrapping some photos from the past.

Today's Discovery...

I'm out of town training for my new job for 2 weeks. Of course, I couldn't be away from home without plenty of scrapbook supplies to occupy my evenings. I couldn't bring my whole scrap room, so I packed my scrap tote with a dozen photos and my fav scrap supplies (ribbon, buttons, Bazzill cardstock, patterned paper, and Noella's awesome sketches). I've discovered that I don't need every scrap product on the market...(or even every scrap product I own!) to create a layout that I am proud of. I'm using wonderful pics of my kiddies to inspire my projects...not all the goodies I love to buy. ...and isn't that how it should be? These are 2 of my latest.

Have you dedicated a layout to yourself lately? I finished 2 this week--"That's Me" for Creatively Yours and "Tough Girl" for the Scrapperie weekly challenge. Like many of you, I only make scrapbook pages about myself when I am challenged to do so. Thanks for the challenge! These were SUPER fun!
